Jonathan R. Cameron -- Personal Information

Vitals first.  I'm a Kansas State University Computer Science graduate.   I'm currently thirty years old.  I essentially live in Phoenix, Arizona and I've got a job at Motorola.  Some of my family lives out here in the Phoenix area too though a good portion live in Missouri around Kansas City and Springfield.  I also have a Great Dane named Gemini.

I listen to a large variety of music.  My favorite groups are currently Nine Inch Nails, Pink Floyd, and Apoptygma Berzerk.  I have at least one version of every NIN Halo and quite a few of the Pink Floyd albums.  I don't really like rap or country music.

I also tend to read a decent amount in my spare time.  I have read a lot of Stephen King books (almost all!).  My favorite King works aren't the "horror" stories that most people know of King from, but the Dark Tower series and his slips into more of the "Fantasy" realm.  I have also read the Harry Potter books and Lord of the Rings.  Of course, there are also computer science type books in my library as well that I read from when the urge overcomes me.

I have started to get a decent sized collection of DVD movies.  My favorites have to be Almost Famous, Quills, and American Beauty.  They're all good movies, although I realize they none of them necessarily will appeal to everyone.

I have three computers (though only two are actively in use, and a fourth is a game system!), one is an Athlon home built PC and the other is a DEC Alpha.  They're named, as Linux based computers typically are, delirium and confusion, respectfully.  Confusion is my firewall and delirium is my "workstation" type machine that I actually use when doing most anything useful (beyond just checking email).

I have bought a house here in Chandler (suburb of Phoenix), Arizona.  It's pretty nice with a pool in the backyard (that is a pain to take care of!), and a fairly big lot because it's the last house on the end of a Cul de Sac.  If anyone's looking to make some money through pool care let me know. ;)

After much hair pulling (of my own), I've found that I can use the journaling system that a friend of mine has setup on her own machines.  It was a system that Gwen wrote up for some journaling of her own that seems to work pretty well.  So, I now have a journal to spout out my crazy ideas to you crazier readers. ;)

Lastly, for anyone who is wanting to purchase me a gift but just can't figure out what to get me, I leave you with this, my amazon wish list.
